Festive Wine Pairing Guide

By: Mark C Lenzi

Happy Festivus!!

If you’re a Seinfeld fan you know this holiday was spawned from the episode called “The Strike”, many of the practices people observe come from events, which occurred during that episode.

Lets look at the four Festivus traditions and how to pair them with wine.

The Festivus Pole

The Festivus tradition is centered around the display of an aluminum pole. The Festivus Pole is a symbol of an anti-Christmas holiday, it is plain looking, no branches or decorations, and it is relatively inexpensive.

Celebrate putting out the decoration with bubbly.

The Festivus Dinner

The Feats Of Strength

The Feats of Strength take place after the Airing of Grievances. The head of the family tests his or her strength against one participant of the head’s choosing. Festivus is not considered over until the head of the family has been pinned to the ground.
