Franklin Art Week Event

Wine IS Art

Thursday May 7th

Hand grown, Hand Picked, Hand Made just like all art wine too is a masterpiece!

It has been said you don’t have to visit a museum to view great art. Because there’s plenty to be found at your local wine shop or on a restaurant wine list.

At this sit down wine tasting/educational event we will explore art in the wine world. We will start with the art of tasting wine. Learning how to taste using a graphic based technology. The result of your wine palate is a unique colored bloom.

To learn we will explore labels with art stories and wineries dedicated to the arts.

This event will be held in the Franklin Liquors wine room.

You will be required to bring a device to access a web-based program.

Prior to the event please go to www.quiniwine.com

Select The Arrow Upper right corner and create a new account.

Debevino Winery Tasting And Tour

Debevino Winery is a local, family owned winery featuring handcrafted natural wines using sustainably grown, premium California grapes.

The Debevino story traces back more than a half century to the Boston neighborhood of Roslindale, where three families – related by ancestry and bonded by friendship – learned the art and science of making wine in their cellars. They are the sons and grandsons of Italian immigrants who brought the craft of winemaking from Italy, where wine is a staple at every meal.

We will meet at the winery and have a tasting and tour.

Please bring a wine snack to share with the group. RSVP here so we have a number and you have two options to pay:

  1. RSVP Here then go to https://www.debevino.com/tour-taste Select March 19th 7pm And Pay $12
  2. RSVP here and pay $12 night of event

Debevino winery was recognized by two of Boston’s preeminent media outlets. Take a moment to read what they had to say about them!

Exploring Anchor And Hope Winery

We will welcome Anchor And Hope to the Franklin Liquors wine room for a sit down tasting and educational event.

A&H is led by California native and traveling winemaker, James Davids & Massachusetts born and raised, Marissa Stashenko. James first came onto the scene in 2003, winemaking and leading grower relations for two wineries in Napa before earning a degree in Viticulture and Enology. After years winemaking in Germany and New Zealand, he returned to California in 2009 to start his own urban winery in San Fran. Marissa brings years of business and marketing experience to the pair’s exciting new venture, including an MBA from Babson College.

In 2018, after James and Marissa left the US’ biggest wine region in search of a different, more fulfilling lifestyle they landed in Providence, RI – a place that reminded them of San Francisco. With them, they brought their passion and knowledge of wine and a desire to start a new kind of wine business.

They found a home for Anchor & Hope in an old wire mill building in Rumford, RI and now partner with small family farms in California, Oregon, and Germany to make incredible wines. The wines ship to RI after harvest, where they’re aged and packaged into kegs or bottles.

A&H collabs with small family farms from around the world to produce their wines. Many of their growers and co-winemakers are also innovators in their respective regions, which are usually lesser-known but producing great fruit. The result: quality, well-priced wines.
